The client
JLL is a global Fortune 500® real estate services firm, operating in over 80 countries. With deep expertise across retail, office, hospitality, industrial, government and more, JLL empowers clients to navigate the complexities of commercial property through leasing, sales and investment management.
The brief
To mark its 35th anniversary in New Zealand, JLL sought to produce a high-quality, editorial-style magazine for both internal and external distribution. The publication would be the first of its kind for JLL globally — a brand-building piece designed to showcase thought leadership and reinforce the company’s position as a market leader.
Our role
Edited By led the editorial direction and delivered all written content for the 70+ page magazine, including:
Editorial concept development
Tone of voice creation and refinement
Interviewing team members and stakeholders
Research and article writing
Copy-editing
Editorial project management and approvals
The impact
The magazine was unveiled at JLL’s flagship annual event, The Future of Real Estate, and widely praised across the business and broader network. Blending think pieces, expert commentary and interviews, the content struck the right balance between insight and accessibility — sparking industry conversation while showcasing the breadth of JLL’s expertise.
“The magazine looks incredible. I’d like to acknowledge Erin Berryman who was instrumental in the writing and editing of this publication. Thank-you for creating such an excellent showcase of our business and our clients.”
-Todd Lauchlan, Managing Director - JLL NZ
“In 2022, my team worked with Erin to create a 71-page editorial style magazine to celebrate JLL NZ’s 35th anniversary. Erin was tasked with producing the copy for the magazine, which included interviewing key members of our team, writing articles and seeking approvals. We found her to be diligent, timely and thorough in her work. Erin worked closely with our business and the resulting publication was widely acknowledged as a high-quality, successful execution. We are happy to have built an ongoing relationship with her off the back of this project, and continue to enjoy working with her regularly.”
